Vehicle rally and running day
Our open day 2005 took place on Sunday 21st August, and was run in conjunction with the Avon Valley Railway, to give a real taste of transport nostalgia.
A static display of buses took place at Brislington Park and Ride site (just off the A4 between Bristol and Bath).
From the park and ride site, vintage buses provided free bus services to the Group's premises and to the Avon Valley Railway
Free vintage bus rides also ran from the Group's base to other places of interest in Bristol at frequent intervals through the day, and from the Avon Valley Railway to the former Bristol Omnibus Company's Hanham and Staple Hill depots.
A good selection of vehicles attended, and drew the crowds on a beautifully sunny day. A selection of photos from the event are shown.
