The body type of each vehicle is specified by a code - here's
what they mean: The first character of the
code indicates the body type:
| B |
Single-deck |
| C |
Single-deck coach |
| Dp |
Dual-purpose |
| H |
Double-deck highbridge |
| L |
Double-deck lowbridge |
| O |
Open-top |
The seating capacity is given next. For
double-deck vehicles the upper deck capacity is shown first, eg 39/32
indicates a top-deck capacity of 39 and a lower-deck capacity of 32.
The final character designates the entrance
position:
| C |
Centre |
| D |
Dual (eg front and centre) |
| F |
Front |
| R |
Rear |
If a double-deck rear-entrance vehicle is fitted
with entrance doors, a "D" follows the entrance code. |
