Our rally and open day 2011 took place on Sunday 14th August, run in conjunction with the Avon Valley Railway, repeating our highly successful formula for creating a day of transport nostaglia. Visitors were invited to buy a programme when they arrived, and refreshments were on sale, but apart from that everything at the rally was free - free parking, free access to the rally, and as many free bus rides as you could fit into the day. This year we were joined by the BBC Radio 2 newsreader and "Voice of the Balls", Alan Dedicoat, thanks to the support of the Family Travel Centre, our neighbours in Flowers Hill.

A free shuttle bus service ran to the Avon Valley Railway, where steam trains were running that also connected with boat trips on the river Avon. Free connecting services ran to and from Bristol Temple Meads, Keynsham, and Bath Spa stations. If you came along and would like to give us some feedback about the event, we'd be very grateful as planning will start shortly for the 2012 event.
