Our rally and open day 2009 took place on Sunday 9th August, run in conjunction with the Avon Valley Railway, repeating our highly successful formula for creating a day of transport nostaglia. A static display of buses and vintage cars took place at Brislington Park and Ride site (just off the A4 between Bristol and Bath), and free vintage bus services ran to numerous locations around the city, out into the surrounding countryside and to Bath. A free shuttle bus service ran to the Avon Valley Railway, where steam trains ran that also connect with boat trips on the river Avon. Free connecting services ran to and from Bristol Temple Meads, Keynsham, and Bath Spa stations.
