Open day 2007

Vehicle rally and running day

Our open day 2007 took place on Sunday 12th August, and was run in conjunction with the Avon Valley Railway, to repeat our highly successful formula for creating a day of transport nostaglia.

A static display of buses took place at Brislington Park and Ride site (just off the A4 between Bristol and Bath), and free vintage bus services ran to numerous locations around the city.  In excellent weather, hundreds of members of the public and enthusiasts turned out.

The theme of the 2007 event was "celebrating 1000 years of exposed radiator Bristols".  This is of course a wild claim, and is based on the combined ages of the vehicles, because although Bristol Commercial Vehicles have been around for a while, they didn't actually pre-date William the Conqueror.

If you enjoyed the event, please come again next year - it has been arranged for Sunday 10th August 2008.

Meanwhile, please let us know what you thought of the event by completing this brief on-line feedback survey.
