What happened at this event?

A display of buses took place at Bristol's dockside Industrial Museum, and at the Amphitheatre adjacent to the Lloyds Bank building on the opposite bank of the Floating Harbour.  Vintage buses ran between the two and to many other points in and around Bristol including:

• Lulsgate Airport

• Filton

• Horfield

• Temple Meads Station

• Pensford

• Whitchurch

• Clifton Rocks Railway.

We took FTT704, GHT154, AHU803 and RT1599.  This was a change of plan, as GHT127 was originally scheduled to attend, but it was raining heavily during much of the day, and therefore an open-top bus wouldn't have been ideal!

Despite the poor weather, a lot of people attended, and enjoyed themselves riding on the old buses.  Even GHT154 took a rare turn, taking a full load to the Rocks Railway in Clifton:
