What happened at this event?
The Frankie Howerd OBE Trust is a local charity that raises money for other charities. In conjunction with Children's Hospice South West, and with support from the Mendip Classic Car Club and the Bristol Vintage Bus Group, the Frankie Howerd Trust held a classic vehicle run from Bath to Wavering Down House near Axbridge in Somerset, Frankie Howerd's former home.
The route ran via Cheddar and Weston-Super-Mare and after a visit to Wavering Down House, continued to Puxton Park.
The event raised money for Children's Hospice South West and the Frankie Howerd Trust's charities, with the money being raised through an entry fee, and by roadside collections in Bath and Weston-super-Mare.
51 cars and 5 buses took part, and despite rain, participants enjoyed the event. The Trust hopes to repeat the event next year.
